Tenth Station: The Replacement - Lodge & Kitchen

The Replacement - Lodge and Kitchen, is founded by Edward and Vinc, who are also the founder of Faculty of Caffeine. The Replacement is the first and only cafe that also provided hostel situated at the heritage old town of Johor Bahru. The small door at the back leads to their kitchen, took a glimpse and it was really tiny.

You’ll encounter their counter and coffee bar when you first walk into replacement, leading into the slightly larger space to the left. The interior design of The Replacement was minimalistic. As you can see it, white walls, marbled walls and antique lamps.

This is Churros with Dark Chocolate Sauce, which is their best seller. Beside selling the orginal churros, they also have dark churros as well, which made of charcoal. These churros are crispy and doughy within. There was little of that classic cinnnamon and sugar combination to compliment the texture of the churros.

The Replacement uses roasted coffee beans that mixed from 3 different countries which are: Brazil, Sumatra and El Salvador. The coffee here is pretty decent as well, strong, rich and fragrant.
